POSITION:               Pharmaceutical / Bio-Technology Consultant

LOCATION:             Princeton, NJ, Boston, MA, and New York City

 

Our client is a specialized independent consulting firm providing services to companies across several industries including the growing Life Science industry.  The Life Sciences practice helps pharmaceutical and related companies address a wide range of strategy and business planning issues.  Engagements include strategy and new product planning, launch strategy and planning, product pricing and reimbursement, product acquisition evaluations, new market opportunity assessments, portfolio strategy development and brand planning and management.  Projects are focused on U.S. as well as global markets. 

 

The Life Sciences practice is an entrepreneurial environment that is experiencing substantial growth.  The practice provides dynamic and challenging experiences and offers significant growth opportunities. 

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • MBA or 5+ years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry to include experience in Marketing & Market Research.
  • Experience required in Pharmaceutical marketing.  
  • Experience managing products/brands/franchises.
  • Strong understanding of drug markets and/or pricing and reimbursement issues.
  • Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience conducting and leading financial/pricing analysis and building forecasting models.

Preferred:

  • Management of specific strategic initiatives or processes (e.g., sales or marketing planning, product launch or brand management, pricing/contracting).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams, meet tight timelines, and adhere to engagement budgets.
  • Experience in identifying risks, adjusting to engagement changes and implementing contingency plans. 
  • In/Out licensing and evaluations of new products.
  • Previous experience as a life science consultant.
  • Ability to communicate results and manage expectations of clients.
  • Detail orientation and accuracy when reviewing project teams’ work.
  • Ability to support generation of new business and maintain existing accounts.
